In its research activities, the Polytechnic University of Bari has always been characterised by a particular sensitivity to the needs of the area. This academic institution, already equipped with numerous specialised laboratories, driven by the desire to provide a publicly accessible laboratory of transversal interest, intersects with a municipal council in the metropolitan area’s desire to invest in the handicraft district of its territory, now the first area to be reconverted into a Landscape and Ecologically Equipped Productive Area in Puglia.
