Guide to the Temple of Mut at Jebel Barkal

The Mut Temple, one of the most important Sudanese monuments with mural paintings cycle, was investigated and preserved in the framework of a cooperation agreement between the Istituto Centrale per il Restauro of Italy and the National Corporation for Antiquities and Museums of Sudan.

Maria Concetta Laurenti, former archaeologist officer at the Istituto Centrale per il Restauro, Italian Ministry of Culture. She was entrusted with the coordination of international activities and with the direction of relevant projects of archaeological conservation in Italy and abroad. She directed the Conservation Project of the Temple of Mut at Jebel Barkal in Sudan in agreement with the National Corporation of Antiquities and Museums of Sudan.
