Contenuto
At 150 years from his birth, the exhibition looks back over the life of the great archaeologist, collector and
art dealer. From the success of his archaeological finds, such as the discovery of the arm of the Vatican Laocoon and the identification of the Athena by Myron, to his association with Sigmund Freud and Emanuel Löwy, from his Jewish identity to his gradual ostracism that began in the 1930s, until his tragic end in the extermination camp of Auschwitz-Birkenau.
